Reimundo and his family produce this coffee side by side in the mountainous regions of Tarqui-Huila, Colombia. We bought his entire crop for the year at 300% above market price, and 100% of it goes directly to Reimundo. This will help him establish new compost systems, pest control and overall sustainable growth. His farm is biodynamic and thriving with wildlife as well as other crops. The terroir is mineral rich with decomposed and decomposing organic matter. This results in a Huilan staple that makes us salivate. The cups is syrupy with blackberry, maple, fudge and black cherry. The cups cools well with light florality or hibiscus while maintaining a mellow stone fruit acidity to balance out it’s hefty body.
