The Morenos Family are infamous specialty coffee farmers out of Santa Barbara, Honduras. They know that making a coffee that is fruity is not hard, but to produce a coffee that is clean, clear, bright and fruity takes an immense amount of diligence. This is especially true given the location of their farms (in the tropical highlands) where cold rains, freezing and drying coffee can be challenging. They have put forth many systems to keep each step in processing as consistent as possible (especially with drying). The result is a heavy bodied cup with citrus and red berry sensibilities. As an espresso, we got maple, fudge, pecan and a clean creamy-orange finish.
