Gaharo (Gah-Hah-Row) means “We Are Full”. The farm lays on a hill packed with coffee shrubs grown alongside tea, beans, sweet potato, cassava, taro and other sustainable produce. The coffee itself is full and complex, distinguishing Burundi coffee from the rest of the world. On the nose, the aroma suggests caramelized brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and baking spices. The profile keeps us guessing: the body has medium-heavy tannic structure with dark fruits. Gaharo cools with a lemon curd, boysenberry, blackberry, honey-wine acidity. A truly versatile coffee that will work well with your brew method of choice.
