Here at Reveille, we are excited to once again offer a coffee from the motherland: Sidama, Ethiopia. The Homacho Waeno COOP is a small community of sustainable farmers fetching high prices for their labor. It’s one of the sweetest, most complex cups we’ve had this year, and well worth the high premium. In the cup, we found an array of fruit including, blackberry, plum, peach, grapes, strawberry and melon. On the flip side, the cup is intensely floral, imparting rose, jasmine and lavender with a long perfumed finish. There is an intriguing balance between muscovado, tannins, silkiness and a delicate acidity.
